Özay Günsel Children University, which is continuing its winter education programs, organized a New Year celebration activity in the last workshop of 2019.

According to the information given by Özay Günsel Children University, the students of the Earth, Sun and Galaxy-Universe group celebrated the New Year in the eighth week of the Winter Term by preparing scientific and social activities and preparing new year ornaments from various materials.

World group students within the scope of the training program held a workshop titled "I get on well with my friends" under the guidance of Lecturer and learned about the difficulties they face in their age groups and what precautions they should take against these difficulties.

Solar Group students attended the workshop titled “What Can I Do in the Chemistry Laboratory?” conducted under the guidance of Assist. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Aşır. In this study, the children learned the rules of the laboratory, combined colored chemicals and food dyes to make a rainbow.

Students of the Galax-Universe and Sun groups conducted "Terrarium Workshop" with their teacher Prof. Dr. Özge Özden. Within the scope of this activity, the students learned about the terrarium plants and made a terrarium.

Prepared colorful Christmas ornaments…
All the students of Özay Günsel Children University celebrated the New Year in addition to the training workshops they held. Before the celebration, the students held a workshop titled "I am making the New Year ornaments" under the guidance of their teacher Dervishe Amca Toklu and nice moments during a few hours of fun.

Within the scope of the workshop, students made Christmas decorations using various materials. Later, hats, whistles and masks were handed out to the students attending the New Year party. Students took photos nearby the Christmas tree and wrote their expectations from 2020 with a post-it on the Christmas tree made of cardboard. At the end of the celebration which also included competitions, students tasted the New Year cake.

As for the competition, the children were divided into two groups as blue and red groups in the game field established in the school garden. At the end of the celebration and competitions gift packages were given to the students who had enjoyable hours with carrying eggs with spoons, sack game, passing between tires, biting apples tied to ropes.
