Özay Günsel Children University, the first and only children's university in Cyprus, will provide free online education to all children during the 2020-2021 Academic Year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to the information given by Özay Günsel Children University, the trainings that will start on October 3, 2020, will be held online every Saturday between 10:00 and 11:30. All students who want to benefit free of charge from the courses will be able to register by filling out the online registration form to be provided on the university's website. With the registration process, students who will receive a special password with their student number will be able to participate in online activities by logging into the system with the password they have received. Each student will also collect credits for each activity he/she attends.

Özay Günsel Children University will continue to ensure that children learn and discover themselves with fun in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics through online education during the 2020/2021 Academic Year. Detailed information about the active participation of students and parents in the Özay Günsel Children University Online Education Portal, which is under preparation, will be shared in the following days.

Reminding that they carried out a successful face-to-face summer program between 21 June and 21 August 2020 by meticulously applying all the health measures that should be followed despite the coronavirus epidemic, Özay Günsel Children University Rector Prof. Dr. Filiz Meriçli said that in the 2020-2021 academic year, trainings will be held free of charge online so that all children can receive an equal education.

Prof. Dr. Meriçli said, “In order to minimize the negative effects of the COVID-19 epidemic, that has spread all over the world, on the education and development of our children, we use all the means of the faculties of Near East University and of the Innovation and Technology Department to ensure learning by having fun on the subjects they are curious about, developing their personal talents and skills, and making them actively participate in live broadcasts.
