Özay Günsel Children University organized puzzle, sports, English and interesting information activities in the fourth week of the Fall Semester courses for Earth, Sun and Galaxy groups.

First sport, then lesson...
The students of Özay Günsel Children University, the first and only Children's University of Cyprus, start their lessons every Saturday by doing morning sports. Students, who relax their bodies and brains with physical exercises during sports activities, start the lesson more vigorously, eagerly and energetically. Sports activities applied before each lesson in order to give children the habit of regular physical activation will continue throughout the Fall Term.

I am learning English with colors...
World Group students aged 6-8 read from children's English books as part of the “I Learn English” event. The main concepts, objects, animals and colors were emphasized in the activity, which aims to improve the visual perception of children and enable them to learn new words in English. Drawings were also made in the event, where speeches were made about animals and colors.

Logic and intelligence abilities were tested through puzzle activities...
9-11 years old Sun Group students, on the other hand, organized a puzzle activity that would strengthen their logic skills. Students later formed their own puzzles within the scope of the activity where puzzles for the linguistic and intellectual development of the child were asked.

Özay Günsel Children University aims to develop children's intellectual skills such as questioning, interpretation, research by using puzzles in education and to make learning fun with its attractive structure.

Our healing friends, animals...
For the students of the Galaxy Group aged 12-15, who made the event “How to make friendship with animals that heal us”, a short film screened at the horse farm was watched. After the movie screening, the questions students were curious about the horses were answered. Then there was a conversation about the positive effect of animals on human mood and general health.

They learned how to meet and greet sign language...
As part of the “I Learn Sign Language” activities in the course content of all group students, the students learned the expressions of getting acquainted with sign language. Examples of the syntax of sign language, greetings and acquaintances in daily language were given. In order to make sign language learning faster and easier, exercises were carried out among the students to form sentences with sign language by combining pronouns.

Interesting facts about the seas...
At the end of the lesson activities, students were informed about why the seas are blue within the scope of the "Did You Know These?" Activity. The students were told that the color and clarity of the seawater was also affected by the heat. It was mentioned that the color of the sea is not the same everywhere, and in some places it takes on bright blue, dark blue, green, turquoise or even reddish colors. It was told that these differences were caused by factors such as water temperature, depth, living creatures, bottom nature, salt ratio. Özay Günsel Children University teachers, aiming to enrich their students' knowledge, skills and experiences with new and valuable information by conducting research on the subjects that children are curious about, will continue to meet with their students every Saturday with new information and research activities.
