Özay Günsel Children University held activities on the importance of saving, the correct use of energy resources and the impact of plastic waste on the environment in the Fall Term trainings given online.

Students from Turkey also participated in the trainings carried out for 6-8 years of age World Group, 9-11 years of age Sun Group and 12-15 years of age Solar Group. In the curriculum of the activities titled “October 31st World Savings Day” and “Let's not pollute the world with plastic wastes”, students were told about the importance of conservative consumption and recycling of plastic waste.

Rector of Özay Günsel Children University Prof. Dr. Filiz Meriçli, who made the interview titled “Let's not pollute the world with plastic wastes”, gave information to the students about the wastes accumulated on our island, marine creatures and the damage given to the environment.

Prof. Dr. Meriçli shared information about the importance of conserving and saving the resources we have for the future of our world on the occasion of “October 31st, World Savings Day”. Prof. Dr. Meriçli said, “Due to unconscious and excessive consumption, the limited living resources in our world are being exhausted. We must learn to consume consciously and protect our values. We should use our time, water, air, soil, plants, electricity, money, in short, all our values. ”. Students also shared their experiences of recycling plastic waste with their families.

The buildings of the future, the "Green Buildings" were examined ...
In the "Do you know these" activity, the topic of "Green Building" was discussed. Near East University Faculty of Architecture faculty member Assist. Prof. Dr. Çimen Özburak gave information about green buildings where natural and non-waste producing materials are used. Speaking on the characteristics of green buildings, Özburak mentioned that these environmentally friendly buildings are compatible with nature, consuming as much as needed, oriented towards renewable energy sources, and compatible with climate data and conditions specific to that location.

Children improve sign language communication skills...
The "Sign Language" training given during the Fall Term also continued. The students, who learned to ask questions for their needs with sign language, then made a general review on introducing themselves to improve their sign language communication skills.
