World Children's Books week, which starts every year in the second week of November, was celebrated with children book lovers at Özay Günsel Children's University. Özay Günsel Children's University, which wants to raise children's love for books and raise awareness, reached the students with the announcement it published on its social media accounts.

Özay Günsel Children's University General Coordinator, Child and Adolescent Psychologist Çağla Akarsel said that books play a key role in children's emotional, spiritual, cognitive and social development. Emphasizing that the vocabulary and language skills of children who are introduced to books at an early age develop faster than their peers, Akarsel said, “Children who read books can more easily build the bridge between reality and imagination. "Parents should encourage their children to read books," she said.

Emphasizing that parents should not put pressure on children to read books, Child and Adolescent Psychologist Çağla Akarsel said, “It is much more effective for parents to be good role models by reading books. World Children's Book Week is a good opportunity to raise this awareness.”
