Özay Günsel Children's University students continue their spring semester activities free of charge and online. This week, the students of the Earth group aged 6-8, the Sun group aged 9-11 and the Galaxy group between the ages of 12-15 designed their own furniture using their hand skills and creativity.

Students designed their own chairs
Students who participated in the activity "I am Making Chairs from Pegs" experienced furniture design after fashion design. Students who designed their own chairs had a lot of fun while developing their manual skills and creativity.

Most people are actually a square...
Students played an entertaining game in Özay Günsel Children's University's "My Friend Mathematics" activity, which aims to make children love mathematics and eliminate their fear of mathematics. The students, who watched the video explaining that “most people are squares", then tried what they learned on themselves. Lying on the ground and marking the tips of their feet and where their heads touched, the students then opened their arms to the side and marked the points they touched. When they connected the dots with a measuring device they saw tha t the resulting shape was a square, and they both studied mathematics and had fun.

Rectangular Basketball Players
Learning that most people are square, Özay Günsel Children's University students learned by listening with great excitement that some people are rectangular. They learned that most basketball players are very successful in this branch because their arms are long and basketball players come out with a rectangular body when the measurements are made due to the length of their arms.

Özay Günsel Children's University will hold its next online and free event open to all children on Saturday, May 22.
